CANON POWERS: In canon, Fujin uses wind-based magic and a chakram to attack her enemies.
MODIFIED POWERS: Shares a strong connection with the wind, often hearing voices carried on it and able to use it to manipulate objects from afar. She often uses Frisbees as weapons, using her wind connection to launch it and move it at deadly speeds. As her rage or anger grows so would her ability to connect with the wind, often leading to violent and dangerous tempest force winds.

HISTORY: Fujin was born in Norway, the last of three children. Both of her siblings were older, rather violent brothers, who constantly teased and fought with her. Fujin was quiet as a child, and the constant bullying she got from her brothers made her prone to physically voice her emotions before speaking – she developed a short temper and a nasty violent streak, which caused her to often get in trouble at school. Fujin was sullen-looking and cold, and few of the other children liked her; she would often get into fights, and even though she was smaller and usually lost, this never deterred her from accepting the challenge.

When she turned eight, Fujin's hair began to turn grey. This made things worse, and rather than allowing people to pick on her, Fujin became more and more aggressive, striking back at anyone the instant they showed negative intentions. She rarely spoke (though when she did it was often a yell), and began to do badly in school, both academically and because of her tendency to attack anybody she perceived as a threat.

Things carried on in this way for a while until years later, when Fujin's father – who worked at a local museum – was offered a transfer to the USA. He took it instantly, forcing the whole family to move. Fujin's parents, feeling hopeful, told her that this would be a chance for a fresh start.

At the age of twelve, Fujin and her family arrived in a small town in the USA. Things didn't change: she still got into fights often, though not as frequently as before, and she had difficulty making any friends due to her cold treatment of others. However, others problems began to plague her – Fujin's parents and brothers all spoke good English, but Fujin barely knew any – she had studied English at school and knew basic words and sentence structures, but she often had difficulty understanding other people and articulating herself. Because of this she took to using single words and sentence fragments to speak, learning to sum up her thoughts in just a word or two. This habit has stuck, and although she has since gained the ability to speak fluently, she rarely does so.

Despite seeming cold and unwelcoming, Fujin is fiercely loyal to the few friends she does make, and is surprisingly competent at following orders. This was first showcased when she made her first friend in America, an older man and Syn by the name of Jones. He was a teacher at Fujin's school, and the two began to spend time together outside of lessons – Fujin looked up to him, respecting his serious, hard-working attitude.

It was on her seventeenth birthday that Fujin discovered her Syn ability. Walking through the park on her way to school one morning, the scarf she was wearing fluttered away in a gust of autumn wind; Fujin, without intending to, caused the scarf to double back right into her palm and the storm to pick up – she was followed by violent winds all the way to school. She told Jones of the incident, and he let her know about New Earth, who, he told her, would help her control her powers. Trusting his word and eager to prove herself, Fujin made arrangements as soon as she graduated high school and hurried to New Amsterdam.
